The trail comprises nine wineries. Some of these include Anchored Roots Vineyard & Winery, Stone’s Throw Winery, Door Peninsula Winery, and Lautenbach’s Orchard Country Winery.

Take a self-guided tour to as many of these Wisconsin wineries as you can. Enjoy a tasting of local wine made with not only grapes but also cherries and other fruit.

Cana Island Lighthouse

Since it is a peninsula, you will find some of the best lighthouses in Wisconsin in Door County.

Possibly the most scenic lighthouse is the Cana Island Lighthouse in Baileys Harbor.

The white structure was built in 1869 and stands 89 feet tall. Climb 97 steps to find beautiful lake views.

Cana Island is open to visitors from May through October.

The island is connected to the mainland by a causeway that goes underwater when water levels are high.

You can walk to the island, but be prepared to get your feet wet.

Another option is to ride in a hay wagon pulled by a tractor. Kids will love this!

This landmark is one of the best things to do in Wisconsin for anyone looking for fun things to do.

To me, one of the most unique restaurants in Door County is Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant & Butik in Sister Bay.

This is a top tourist attraction in Door County because of the goats on the roof. Yes, you read that right!

Cute goats stand on the restaurant’s sod roof and munch on the grass. You can see them up there from May through October.
