You’ll find Buckeye Lake Brewery just 30 minutes east of Columbus.
This Ohio brewer gets its name from Buckeye Lake, where you’ll find the brewery.
Buckeye Lake Brewery is open Tuesday through Sunday.
On the weekdays, they are only open from 4 pm to 10 pm. Friday and Saturday they are open from 11 am to 11 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 9 pm.
So you’ll have several opportunities throughout the week to visit this brewery in Ohio.
All of the craft beers brewed at Buckeye Lake Brewery are named after different parts of Buckeye Lake’s history.
They don’t aim to reinvent beer, but you’ll find some classic staple brews with fun names, all brewed locally.

Ill Mannered Brewing Company has been open since 2015.
Since then, they’ve actually won awards for a few of their craft beer in Ohio.
They’ve recently expanded into a new building where they have a patio, tasting room, and 20 different local craft beers on tap.
The taproom is open daily but at different times each day. So make sure you check their schedule before you visit.
Their Ohio craft beers on tap include a lemon shandy, IPAs, imperial stouts, and more.
They do have a rotating draft list, and each beer is uniquely named.

If you’re traveling around northern Ohio, close to Cleveland, then I suggest stopping by Lager Heads Brewing Company.
Lager Heads originally started out as a smokehouse restaurant in Medina Ohio in 2004.
In 2010 they expanded and launched the Lager Heads Brewing Company.
Lager Heads Brewing Company specializes in Ales and Lagers, thus their name.
On their list of local craft beer, you’ll find the Savage Stout, the Oktoberfest, Five Wire IPA, and more.
While you’re there, you can also enjoy their smoked meats and bbq, which their craft beer pairs really well with.

Grainworks Brewing Company is less than 30 minutes away from Cincinnati.

While it might not be right in the heart of the city, it’s still a really popular Cincinnati OH brewery.
Grainworks is actually located in West Chester Township, but they also sell their beer in over 300 locations all over Cincinnati and Dayton.

However, just because it’s not right by a major city, doesn’t mean this isn’t a great craft brewery.
They opened in 2015, which actually makes them the second oldest brewery in Athens Ohio.
Devil’s Kettle Brewing is a microbrewery, which means they are a limited production brewery.
They are open Wednesday through Friday from 4 pm to 10 pm and Saturday from 12 pm to 10 pm.
You can also visit on Sundays from 12 pm to 6 pm.
On their draft list, you’ll find brews like Galatea, Spider Silk, Ragtag, and the Athens Standard.

Brewery 33 is a fairly new craft brewery in Logan Ohio.
They opened their doors in 2017, and are family and locally owned, plus they are the first brewery in Hocking Hills!
Family and dogs are always welcome at Brewery 33, and they offer a variety of fresh local Ohio beer.
On their taproom menu, they have the Hock Hocking Mexican Hot Chocolate Stout, Pottery Pale Ale, Lagerness Monster of Lake Logan, and more.

You’ll find Madcap Brewing Co. in a 15,000-square-foot building that used to be a machine shop during the 1940s.
So, the taproom has a really cool atmosphere, with original brick and cement walls and even some cranes still hanging from the ceiling.
They have 12 rotating beers that they keep on tap. Those craft beers include Pilsners, Hazy IPAs, Imperial Stouts, and more.
You can bring the whole family, since this is a family-friendly brewery, and they do allow dogs out on their patio!
