Girls’ Weekend Guide to Mall of America
Start with a Spa Session
Of course, when we talk about a fun girls’ weekend, we have to start with a nice spa session.
Laughing Waters Spa is located at the Radisson Blu Hotel Mall of America.
You can get a group massage, book a group facial, or go all out with a bridal spa package that includes everything from detoxing steam rooms to glow-boosting facials.
If you want to make the most of your weekend here, then you can also add makeup services.
But do book ahead if you are planning to get a group spa on the weekends, as it tends to get full very early.

Pose for Old-Fashioned Souvenir Photos
Looking for something unique and memorable to do with your girl gang?
Then head to Professor Z’s Old Time Photos, where you can wear vintage costumes and pose in front of unique sets for amazing photographs with your besties!
You can get same-day photos here, which make for the perfect Mall of America vacation souvenir.
Choose from different styles such as 1920s, Victorian, Renaissance, Western, and more.
How fun, right?
Girls’ Weekend Guide to Mall of America: Get a Beauty Makeover
Want a new look? Well, you are in luck!
MOA is one of the best places to get a makeover with several options for nail salons, hair salons, brow salons, and more!
After freshening up, you can head to one of the beauty stores like Sephora, MAC Cosmetics, Ulta Beauty, etc., to try out new makeup looks and buy amazing products that suit you.
If brands seem a little expensive, then there are plenty of departmental stores as well where you can get a makeover on a budget.
Trust me, this is the best way to kickstart your weekend getaway with the girls!
Design Your Own Jewelry
I love getting jewelry for myself and my girls. This is why I love that you can design your own jewelry at the Mall of America!
There are a few options like Kendra Scott’s Color Bar, where you can design your own earrings, necklaces, or rings using stones, metal types, and colors you love.
You can choose the stones and colors, and they’ll assemble it right in front of you.
It is a perfect choice for bridesmaid gifts, friendship bling, or just because you love shiny things.

Visit the Nickelodeon Universe Amusement Park
If your group loves a good adrenaline rush, then don’t forget to visit the Nickelodeon Universe at MOA.
There are plenty of amazing roller coasters inside the mall. You can go on the SpongeBob SquarePants Rock Bottom Plunge; it is super wild, or ride the Fairly Odd Coaster.
Do take selfies with giant characters like Dora or Blue’s Clues.
This whole indoor Mall of America amusement park is part of what makes MOA such an epic weekend destination!
Girls’ Weekend Guide to Mall of America: Go on a Shopping Spree
Fashionistas, this one’s for you.
I am sure you would know that there are plenty of Mall of America stores where you can buy everything from clothes to accessories.
Stores range from budget to luxury, including the likes of Gucci, Burberry, and Chanel cosmetics.
What you might not know is that it is home to both Nordstrom and a massive Zara, and here’s the best part—Minnesota has no sales tax on clothing or shoes.
So you can shop guilt-free and splurge on statement pieces, basics, and everything in between.
Trust me, shopping with your girls at MOA is one of the best things to do in Minnesota!

FlyOver America – A Whole New Altitude
Looking for more fun things to do in the Mall of America?
Then, do try this 4D flying theatre experience. Trust me, this isn’t your average mall ride.
FlyOver America straps you in and lifts you in front of a massive spherical screen so that you feel like you are “flying” across the U.S.
From wind to mist, to scents, you will experience it all on this 4D adventure, making it a must for your MOA weekend getaway.
Girls’ Weekend Guide to Mall of America Dive into Illusions and Selfies
I know when you are on a girls’ trip, you’ve got to have some fun activities planned for the gram.
Well, the Museum of Illusions is one such attraction.
It’s got vortex tunnels, trippy mirrors, and optical illusions that’ll make you question reality.
Honestly, it is perfect for a group of girls with cameras and killer outfits. You’ll leave with Instagram content for days.

Have Fun at Activate
Another one of my favorite activities to do at the Mall of America is spending 3-4 hours at Activate.
It is a cross between an escape room and a fitness game.
You and your friends will be jumping across light-up floors, solving puzzles, and basically playing human-size arcade games.
It is a lot of fun and a full-body workout too. You’ll laugh, sweat, and bond like never before.
Try Go-Karting at the Mall of America
Now, if you love fun, then one of the best things to do at the Mall of America is go-karting.
Yes, there is indoor go-karting available at MOA, where you can drive fast and compete with your girl besties.
Check out The Fair on 4, a grown-up carnival which offers beer flights, bumper cars, axe throwing, and more!
Indulge in fast food and some childhood fun here at least one day during your getaway.

Enjoy a Luxury Cinema Night
After a long day of shopping, sometimes all you want is a recliner, wine, and a good rom-com to watch with your girlies.
Well, you can do it in your room at the hotel, or if you don’t want to go back yet, then check out B&B Theatres Bloomington 13. It delivers all three.
You can order cocktails and snacks straight to your heated recliner here and relax while watching the latest movie releases.
Trust me, it is absolute bliss!
Catch a Comedy Show at Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy
After a good day at MOA, if you want to end the night with a good laugh, then head to Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy.
This comedy club features big-name comedians and rising stars every week, making it a fun place to be.
Plus, they have a good menu for dinner and cocktails too.
So, you can sip on craft cocktails while enjoying a show that will make you laugh hard.
Rent Private Karaoke Rooms
Come on, what’s really a weekend with girls without a nice karaoke session?
I personally love how young girls are so bold these days and go singing with their besties after a few shots.
But if you want more quality time with your girl gang, then you can rent a private karaoke room too.
Belt out girl group anthems, relive early 2000s pop hits, and make a night of it.
It’s ridiculously fun, a little chaotic, but a core memory in the making.

Check Out the Food and Bar Scene at the Mall of America
I know it is not a secret that the Mall of America has some of the best bars and dining spots in the city.
From bubble tea to fresh lemonade to fancy cocktails, you can get it all here.
FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar in Radisson Blu is a good choice for dinner with amazing cocktails.
If you are looking for a nice brunch spot, then Cedar + Stone Urban Table at JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America is a good choice.
You can also check out the Mall of America’s directory for happy hours to find the best spots to get drunk at MOA.
Where is the Mall of America Located?
Wondering about the address of the Mall of America?
The address of the Mall of America is 60 E Broadway, Bloomington, MN 55425.
It is just a 15-minute drive from downtown Minneapolis, which has plenty of its own fun things to do.
And a 10-minute drive from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
So, you can fly from anywhere in the USA to reach the majestic MOA and have a lot of fun shopping, eating, and treating yourself.
Also, since it is warm inside the mall year-round, you will be shopping in summer dresses and crop tops even if it is winter in Minnesota.
Since this mall is huge, I would also advise you to pull up the Mall of America directory before reaching here.
This way, you will know which shops and dining spots to hit without getting overwhelmed upon arriving here.
Where to Stay Near the Mall of America
Radisson Blu Mall of America – Radisson Blu Mall of America is one of the best Mall of America hotels to stay at as it is directly connected to the mall!
So, you can walk from your room to Sephora without ever stepping outside. That’s not all, there is a heated indoor saline pool, spa, and a cocktail bar that you can use here too!
JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America – Want to turn your trip up a notch? Then JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America hotel is the ultimate choice for a girls’ weekend getaway!
This place screams class with marble countertops, dreamy beds, and quick access to the favourite American shopping mall.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mall of America – Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mall of America is another great choice for the girls planning a weekend at the MOA.
You can enjoy free breakfast, complimentary airport and mall shuttle service, and access to an indoor pool and fitness center. Trust me, it is a great choice for friend and family getaways too.
